arow_24 1. Preventive Dentistry (regular examinations, professional cleanings, oral hygiene instructions, home care recommendations)

PreventivePreventive Dentistry is the ultimate goal for each of our patients.
Daily home care, proper nutrition and dietary counseling, and periodic checkups and professional cleanings are the tools we use to maintain good dental health.

Thorough oral hygiene technique instructions, preventive technologies, and always expanding areas of preventive research both patient and practicioner can work together to maintain oral health.

arow_24 2. Restorative Dentistry (fillings, crowns)

fiilingsRestorative Dentistry encompasses several aspects of dental health. Placement of fillings, onlays, and crowns help repair individual teeth. Comprehensive reconstruction, implant restoration, and other techniques can supply a patient with optimal form, function, and esthetics, regardless of their present dental condition.
Fillings. The concept of a “filling” is replacing and restoring your tooth structure that is damaged due to decay or fracture with a material. We will replace old, broken-down amalgam/metal fillings that contain traces of mercury with white fillings (composites) to restore your smile and teeth to a more natural look and feel.

With today's advancements, no longer will you have to suffer the embarrassment of unsightly and unhealthy silver/mercury fillings or metal margins of the past. Eliminate the dark, black appearance in your teeth with new-age, state-of-the-art, tooth-colored resin or porcelain materials.

arow_24 3. Cosmetic Dentistry (bonding, veneers, bleaching, smile design)

boondingCosmetic Dentistry has come of age with new high-tech procedures that make a beautiful smile accessible to everyone.
Dental technology, balanced with an eye for esthetics, can bring dramatic results: mend a chip here, lighten a discoloration there, close up gaps – the best part is that these procedures can be done conservatively and comfortably.

Bonding. Interested in improving your smile? Composite bonding offers a simple method of restoring your smile to its original beauty and even improving upon nature. Your dentist can actually enhance your smile with bonding) for a wide variety of restorative applications.

porecelanVeneers. If your teeth are stained, broken, or shaped in a way that s not pleasing to you, then you may want to consider porcelain laminate veneers to enhance your smile.
Veneers are very thin coverings that are custom made from porcelain for concealing the surfaces of your teeth. They can make uneven teeth even.

They can make stained teeth appear white, fill in gaps between teeth, and make broken teeth appear whole.
Even though veneers are a thin covering, they are relatively strong and durable and will generally not need to be replaced for 4 to 10 years.

whiteningWhitening. Bleaching is simply a method of lightening teeth. It involves the application of a bleaching agent to enhance the whitening effect.
If you are not happy with the color of your teeth, then you may be a candidate for bleaching. It is okay to want brighter teeth! Your smile is one of the most important aspects of the way that you present yourself to others. Bleaching works because the teeth are porous, allowing some solutions to penetrate through the enamel.
If performed properly under the supervision of a dental professional, research has shown that bleaching works without lasting damage to underlying dental tissues.

arow_24 4. Implant Restoration (single-tooth or full mouth restoration)

implantAre your missing teeth making you feel self-conscious to smile or talk?
Do you hide your smile behind your hands?
Dental implants offer the closest replacement option to natural teeth. Our implant dentists are proficient in replacing your missing teeth with teeth implantation process. Before starting a dental implant procedure, our dentists take x-rays and scan the bone to assess the exact condition. An Implant takes time to become a part of missing area. It may take three to six months to heal and integrate with the surrounding bone.
The implantation process involves placing a titanium post into the missing part of bone.

arow_24 5. Prosthodontics (bridges, partials and full dentures)

bridgesBridges. Fixed bridges replace missing teeth. They are usually made of gold or, where appearance is important, porcelain-faced gold. Often many people who lose a back tooth are inclined to do nothing to replace it. After all, the tooth never was visible. Unfortunately, losing a tooth can start a vicious cycle of destruction. In a normal, healthy mouth, your teeth have a natural balance. Each upper tooth contacts the corresponding lower tooth, allowing for a well-balanced chewing function. Losing a tooth quickly destroys this balance.
Fixed bridges are attached to abutment teeth. Dental restorations, called abutment inlays or crowns, fasten the bridge to the abutment teeth. The pontic is the portion of the bridge which actually replaces the missing tooth. The pontic is soldered to the abutment inlays or crowns. Then, the completed fixed bridge (crown abutments and pontic) is cemented in place.

Partial Denture. A partial denture rests on a metal framework that attaches to your natural teeth. Sometimes crowns are placed on some of your natural teeth and serve as anchors for the denture. Partial dentures offer a removable alternative to bridges.
Full Denture. With full dentures, a flesh-colored acrylic base fits over your gums. The base of the upper denture covers the palate (the roof of your mouth), while that of the lower denture is shaped like a horseshoe to accommodate your tongue.
Dentures are custom-made in a dental laboratory from impressions taken of your mouth. Dentist will determine which of the three types of dentures described below is best for you.

arow_24 6. Periodontal disease (treatment planning, gum treatment)

periodentalPeriodontal disease is caused by bacterial infections that attack gums, ligaments and bone. Although the body has some natural defenses that resist bacterial attacks, these may not fully protect gum and bone tissues from inflammation and infection.
There are several kinds of periodontal disease. Often painless, these diseases may develop slowly or progress quite rapidly, and they can occur at any age. Unless you have regular dental checkups, including a periodontal exam, you may not be aware you have a problem until your gums and bone have been seriously compromised.
Treating Periodontal Diseases. The first step is usually a thorough cleaning that may include scaling to remove plaque and tartar deposits beneath the gumline. The tooth roots may also be planed to smooth the root surface allowing the gum tissue to heal and reattach to the tooth. In some cases, the occlusion (bite) may require adjustment.
Antibiotics or irrigation with antimicrobials (chemical agents or mouthrinses) may be recommended to help control the growth of bacteria that create toxins and cause periodontitis. In some cases, we may place antibiotics in the periodontal pockets after scaling and planing. This may be done to control infection and to encourage normal healing.
When deep pockets between teeth and gums (4 to 6 mm or greater) are present, it is difficult for the dentist to thoroughly remove plaque and tartar. Patients can seldom, if ever, keep these pockets clean and free of plaque. Consequently, surgery may be needed to restore periodontal health.
Using various surgical techniques, the dentist lifts the gum away to reach areas that require the removal of tartar and plaque, which cause chronic infection and delay healing. The tooth root is cleaned and smoothed. The gums are sutured back into place or into a new position that will be easier to keep clean at home.

arow_24 7. Endodontics (root canals)

rootOnce upon a time, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, you'd probably lose that tooth. Today, with a special dental procedure called a root canal therapy you may save that tooth. The first step involves removing the pulp tissue.

This is done through a small opening in the crown of the tooth. If you are experiencing severe pain from the tooth, this usually provides immediate relief. Once the pulp chamber and root canals have been cleaned and disinfected, medicine is placed in the tooth and it is temporarily sealed.
If severe infection is present, your dentist may leave the tooth open for several days to promote drainage.
Antibiotics are sometimes prescribed to help control the infection.

arow_24 8. Oral Surgery

surgeryTooth removal may be needed if teeth are crowded, or if a tooth is badly out of position.

Jaw surgery (or orthognathic surgery) may be need when there are major differences in the size or position of the upper and lower jaws. It helps the upper and lower jaws line up.

If your dentist think you will need jaw surgery, he or she will refer you to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

arow_24 9. Laser dentistry

laserLaser dentistry can be used to correct many problems from uncovering partially erupted wisdom teeth to removing lip pulls in orthodontic patients. Lasers can also obtain small tissue samples in biopsy procedures to detect lesions or potential tumors in the mouth.
Using laser dentistry as opposed to other forms of surgery does have its advantages.
Lasers can control the amount of bleeding during the treatment and can sometimes remove gum tissue without causing bleeding.
In laser dentistry, there may also be less swelling and pain following the surgery as the laser can seal blood vessels and nerve endings.
